Diet Coke and Mentos - The Extreme Edition

A couple of friends visited this weekend and at one point we got into an discussion about the Diet Coke & Mentos trick. Wanted to show 'em the extreme edition but I could not for the life of me remember what the people behind it called themselves or where to find the video. Well I finally figured it out...

After remembering seeing a clip on an episode of Mythbusters, it was easy sailing. The people responsible for the masterpiece call themselves Eepybird and the title of the video is "The Extreme Diet Coke & Mentos Experiments". What makes it truly extreme is the fact that they go through about 200 liters of Coke and 500 Mentos in a couple minutes. The result an artistic masterpiece!

Another great example of what you get when you mix some childishness with a bit of curiosity and a lot of creativity. I'm left wondering though about whom was the first to do this and what on earth made that person do it in the first place...
