Is this thing on?

The last few days I've spent a lot of time adding support for (external) video hosting services into SparkCMS. Although this should have been a straight-forward task, when combining browser-glitches, standards ignoring Flash inclusion and the USPTO this becomes rather troublesome. Though, I'm nearly there...

SparkCMS 0.3.5

As of a few hours ago, eVirtus!net is on running a brand new version of Spark CMS! After more than 8 months of work I froze version 0.3.5 on build 200 and uploaded it to the servers. Internally dubbed "the monster" (due to the fact that it accumulates more than 8 months worth of work), it represents a major milestone in the project; The frontend features are mostly completed.

As time goes by...

One thing I've learned a lot about recently is time, timezones, DST and the utter complexity of mixing 'em all together. To bring further confusion into the equation, Spark CMS has to deal with several possibilities for what a function uses as its starting point for dates. This has lead to a lot of work related to time and dates lately...

SparkCMS 0.3.4

Another update of Spark CMS have founds it way onto our servers. Although there's no ground breaking new features this time either, there are some new features and improvements to accompany the (minor) bug fixes.

SparkCMS 0.3.3

Although I haven't blogged about it, this site has been running on version 0.3.2 of Spark CMS since the 23rd or December. With todays update to 0.3.3 I though I'd share some of developments that has found it's way into the code since the blog update on the 6th of December. Though I'm still a bit sloppy making changelog entries, I'll do my best to give you a quick summary of the most important changes and additions...

SparkCMS 0.3.1

Yesterdays upload of Spark CMS has several new features, although most won't be really useful until other features have been implemented. New functionality include a new method for displaying author/user information and functionality for displaying comments on blog posts. Other than this there are several minor bug fixes and general improvements to the core framework of the CMS.

SparkCMS 0.3.0

I just uploaded another revision with (mostly) framework related updates. This revision boosts a complete change of all output methods. Although better generation times may be noticed, most importantly this made a completely different model for server side caching possible. The update also fixes some validation issues with the "Pre-generated output" message and adds some configuration/output options to <title> tags.

Couldn't generate page, however a cached copy was found and served on the 1st of January 1970 @ 00:00 in 0.016 seconds...
