Proved to be cumbersome

For one or another reason; I've never used the <blockquote> tag that much. After writing about the not so open web earlier today, I noticed that some of my pages suddenly didn't validate anymore. The blockquotes was to blame...

Don't know why, it must have been an old (bad) habit of some sort. But initially I went with <p> Name <blockquote> actual quote </blockquote> </p>. The validator didn't go for that solution. Hm, maybe block quotes was one of these containers that shouldn't be in other containers like the paragraph tags? Nope, that wasn't the solution either. Who would have thought that this would be so problematic...

To cut the chase. After re-reading the error messages several times, I finally figured out the solution. It was the other way around of what I initially wrote. The paragraphs go inside the block quote tags. So for future reference, this is how to include valid block quotes:

<p>Hawkeye, from the TV series M*A*S*H:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>If we don't go crazy once in a while, we'll all go crazy.</p>
</blockquote>

Will return a valid result, looking somewhat like the quote below...

Hawkeye, from the TV series M*A*S*H:

If we don't go crazy once in a while, we'll all go crazy.
